What Acid Cleaner Does?

Clean labware or vessel is crucial for accurate trace metal analysis, but traditional cleaning methods like acid soaking and microwave digestion are time-consuming and leave behind residue. Introducing the solution you've been waiting for: acid cleaning.

The vessel acid cleaner is also known as Acid Steam/Vapor Cleaning System or Trace Cleaning System. It uses acid vapor to clean the vessels in a sealed chamber. Through a built-in temperature-control heating system, all trace metal contaminants that are soluble in acid can be safely and efficiently removed by acid vapor. The used acid will then be drained from the chamber to prevent the extracted contaminants from being reintroduced to the cleaned vessels.

Why acid cleaning?

Cleaning Without The Hassle!

INVENTION & INNOVATION

In 2015, Amerlab set the bar for labware cleaning with the AC100 Auto Cleaner which offered a unique three-in-one unit capable of automated acid cleaning, rinsing and drying. This innovation offered new levels of efficiency and quality control and was highly praised by the market.

Today, Amerlab is pleased to offer the sixth generation of our Acid Cleaners - AC360, which combines the best of our previous model and many other innovative functions.

COMPLETE TECHNOLOGY UPGRADE

*  Simple but practical

*  Patented RTC technology

Safer heater

*  Wetted PTFE/PFA material

*  Less emission

How it works

Fill THE ACID:

Manually add the clean acid into the reservoir.

ACID VAPOR CLEANING:

In the sub-boiling state, the ultrapure acid vapor is gently generated for the cleaning.

Condensed droplets containing impurities drain down the vessel walls and return to the heating reservoir.

The process will automatically stop when the timer ends.

DRAIN THE ACID:

Drain the used acid by gravity if needed.

The patented core tech provides guaranteed thoroughness

REAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL(RTC)

ensures the highest purity of acid vapor

Accurate measurement is crucial for precise control.
The Teflon-treated sensor directly monitors the actual acid temperature in real time which ensures an ideal sub-boiling condition.
Traditional cleaners only monitor the heater’s temperature. This results in less accuracy of the measuring, less control of the acid temperature and lower purity of the acid vapor.

More than a simple cleaning

Better Materials

Made of PTFE

MORE DURABLE, MORE VERSATILE

Digestion often involves HF. PTFE can resist all kinds of acids including HF & aqua regia.
There is no quartz containing ppm level metal elements that is unable to resist HF.

Seamless Construction

NO DEAD CORNERS & NEVER CRACK

The cleaning chamber is an integrated
unibody which will withstand many
decades of simultaneous hot acid and
high temperature.

Polypropylene Chassis

CORROSION RESISTANT AND NO METAL

The controller's chassis is welded with polypropylene boards. It has strong corrosion resistance. Additionally, PP material does not release metal elements into the laboratory and also does not compromise the low
background in the trace element analysis laboratories.

Safer

PTC Heating

The Safest Heaters! No Supervision Needed

Under the unlikely event that all temperature control systems have failed, the maximum temperature is autonomously controlled by the heater and will not exceed 482oF which prevents damage and risk of
fire.
PTC heater might be the best kind for Acid Steam/Vapor Cleaing.

No Acid Vapor Leakage

Avoids the leaking vapor condensing on the exterior

Unlike the other brands, our cleaning chamber and its lid are attached by threads which offers the best sealing. It prevents the acid vapor from leaking.  As a result, no condensed acid liquid is found on the exterior around the cleaning chamber.

Waste Vapor Is Collected

Avoids lab vent system from corrosion

The excessive vapor has to be vented to avoid overpressure during the process.
The vapor is released through the ventilation port on the chamber's lid and condensed and collected in the glass bottle. Only a few leftovers go into the fume hood.

Various Racks

Advanced & Wide Use

Customizable

In contrast to typical support rods, Amerlab’s is far more capable of guiding maximal steam.

Its unique hollow steam pipe’s spray reaches the inner vessel through jet holes.

Interchangeable racks allow for cleaning larger variety of vessels – from 5ml volumetric flasks to 2 liter
beakers.
