What Acid Cleaner Does?

Clean labware is crucial for accurate trace metal analysis, but traditional cleaning methods like acid soaking and microwave digestion are time-consuming and leave behind residue.
Introducing the solution you've been waiting for: acid cleaning.

The acid cleaner is also known as Acid Steam/Vapor Cleaning System or Trace Cleaning System. It uses acid vapor to clean the vessels in a sealed chamber. Through a built-in temperature-control heating system, all trace metal contaminants that are soluble in acid can be safely and efficiently removed by acid vapor. The used acid will then be drained from the chamber to prevent the extracted contaminants from being reintroduced to the cleaned vessels.

ACID VAPOR CLEANING:

In the sub-boiling state, the ultrapure acid steam is gently generated for the cleaning. Simultaneously, the used acid is discharged without reflux. Upon completion, the residue is drained.

RINSING:

Ultra-pure water evaporates removing residual acid on the vessels. Simultaneously, the used water is discharged without reflux. Upon completion, the residue is drained.

DRYING:

The filtered air is heated quickly which dries the washed vessels. The main heater at the bottom works with the surround aux heater providing efficient heating.  100-180°C adjustable.

REAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL(RTC)

ensures the highest purity of acid vapor

Accurate measurement is crucial for precise control.
The Teflon-treated sensor directly monitors the actual acid temperature in real time which ensures an ideal sub-boiling condition.
Traditional cleaners only monitor the heater’s temperature. This results in less accuracy of the measuring, less control of the acid temperature and lower purity of the acid vapor.

ONE-WAY VAPOR TECH(OWV)

ensures no secondary contamination from the waste acid

OWV ensures that the used acid is drained directly from the system so there is no reflux into the acid  reservoir risking contamination. In traditional techniques, the waste acid will repeatedly reflux into the acid reservoir and evaporate. As a result, the waste acid constantly contaminates the pure acid. The resulting vapor becomes dirtier and the cleaning efficiency is reduced. Consequently, only ppb-level results
can be achieved even with trace metal grade acid.

Level/pH Real-Time Monitoring

All liquids are monitored in order to prevent an ineffective cleaning problem caused by insufficient pure acid/water and the overflow problem of waste acid/water and alkali. To prevent inadequate neutralization,
the instrument monitors the pH of the neutralization solution. Level and pH self-checks start upon initiation. With any problem, the user is notified and the machine shuts down.

Pressure Real-Time Monitoring

The PTFE pressure sensing system is customized for acid cleaning. The pressure self-check starts upon initiation. With any problem, the user is notified and the machine shuts down.
